Prices of RAM banks and Solid-State Drives (SSD) keep falling because all semi-conductor manufacturers attempt to adjust price out of their own profits. Also, the trade conflict between Japan and Korea promotes mark-up of semi-conductor products, which brings the greatest trouble. Besides, NAND of Toshiba reduced capacity by 3% due to the strong earthquake taking place last month. Therefore, the output of global NAND will decrease by about 10%. What’s more, Micron announced that it would reduce the output of NAND chips by 50% this quarter. It is predicted that NAND chips may be in short supply with prices increasing after the mark-down of over two years since the stock is consumed quickly and the supply in the future slumps sharply, according to RAM insiders.
Samsung has raised the price of NAND by about 10% after Toshiba’s plant shut down due to earthquake. People will scramble for NAND, driving the further bounce of the price due to the sharp reduction of output of Samsung. The contract price of DRAM will increase instead of falling in the next quarter which led to the mark-up of both NAND and DRAM if the trade negotiation does not come to the end, revealed insiders.
Samsung planned to give priority to producing lucrative DRAM with existing photoresist hydrogen fluoride, reduce the production of NAND chips at the verge of cost by 20% to 30% and raise the quotation by using up NAND products, revealed RAM access manufacturers.

The price of DDR4 RAM went up for the first time in ten months

The price of DDR4 RAM truly went up. Korean retailers could not wait to raise the price. Therefore, the price of the RAM bank DDR4 PC4-192000 of Samsung has risen from won65,000 to won100,000 and even doubled. You can’t even buy it easily.

The average price of 8G DDR4 RAM reached $3, an increase of 1.2% from the day before this Wednesday, which was the first mark-up of RAM since last September. It is not a good sign.
When speaking to RAM prices, some people said that compared with the price in 2017, the current was high. But I have referred to relative data carefully this time. Do not pursue for high frequency

Therefore, to use high-frequency RAM can improve the performance of the computer.
