CanSemi ASML Lithography Machines Will Put into Production

The news from ChinaStor.com, Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd. (Zhiguang Electric), a Joint stock company of Guangzhou CanSemi Technology Co., Ltd. (CanSemi) said on the interactive platform that the lithography machines purchased by CanSemi are from ASML of the Netherlands. CanSemi have moved into the main factory of Semiconductor in mid-March 2019. Currently, preparing for final commissioning before mass production. 

The main devices such as lithography machines were successfully introduced, which will provide a strong guarantee for the mass production program of CanSemi.

In addition, Zhiguang Electric said on the interactive platform that the first phase of CanSemi will focus on 90nm-180nm technology products, while the second phase of CanSemi will focus on 65nm-90nm technology products.

It is reported that the CanSemi project is the first 12-inch chip factory in China with virtual IDM as its operating strategy. It is the first 12-inch chip production line in Guangzhou and has been listed as a key construction project in Guangdong province and Guangzhou city. The project began to piling in Mar. 2018. In Oct. 2018, the main plant was capped as originally planned. After the project is completed, it can realize the production capacity of 40,000 wafers per month. CanSemi's products include microprocessors, power management chips, analog chips, and power discrete devices to meet the demands of analog chips for innovative applications such as IoT, automotive electronics, artificial intelligence, and 5G.  

According to the latest report from China GuangdongTV Channel,  the first production line of CanSemi has entered the final commissioning stage, and will be released in June and mass production in September.

Zhiguang Electric (002169): The company holds 50% equity of Guangzhou CanSemi Technology Co., Ltd.
Zhiguang electric (002169) said on the interactive platform on Jan. 25 that the company subscribed for 30% of the limited partner shares of Guangzhou Yuxin Zhongcheng Equity Investment Partner(limited partnership) for 156 million yuan, while Guangzhou Yuxin Zhongcheng Equity Investment Partnership holds 50% of the equity shares of CanSemi.
